Over 1 million expected to leave Kathmandu Valley for Dashain; advance ticket booking yet to be finalised

Over 1 million passengers are expected to leave the Kathmandu Valley by public transport during Dashain, which begins with Ghatasthapana on Asoj 25.
The number of passengers heading home for Dashain is beginning to rise, but the question of opening advance booking for public transport tickets has yet to be finalised. The Department of Transport Management is discussing the matter with stakeholders.
Preparations have started to open advance ticket booking this week. It has been said that a decision on opening booking will be made today.
