Judges sharply criticize Chief Justice Sharma's leadership at full court meeting

At a full court meeting held at the Supreme Court on Monday, most judges expressed serious concern about and criticism of Chief Justice Manoj Sharma's leadership.

The meeting, called to discuss the incident in which police took former Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana at midnight, lasted nearly two hours. Most judges at the meeting said the situation had worsened since Sharma took over leadership.

The judges questioned Chief Justice Sharma about his relationship with former Chief Justice Rana. They also demanded that the reasons be investigated for some courts, including the Special Court, having become like "superstores."

On the matter of police taking former Chief Justice Rana, the government has claimed he was not arrested but rescued for his safety.
