Indian Ambassador Srivastava pays farewell visit to PM Shah

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Navin Srivastava, who is completing his tenure in the country, paid a farewell visit to Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

Srivastava met the prime minister at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Tuesday morning.

According to the prime minister's secretariat, during the meeting Prime Minister Shah said relations between Nepal and India have always remained friendly and close.

He expressed special gratitude for the assistance provided by the Government of India during the recent floods in Rasuwa and other floods, landslides and disasters.

The prime minister also thanked the ambassador for the role he played in deepening and diversifying Nepal-India relations.

Prime Minister Shah congratulated Srivastava on completing a successful tenure and wished him well for the future.

The meeting also included discussion on bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Srivastava informed the prime minister that many development projects between Nepal and India had been completed during his tenure.

He expressed special thanks to the Government of Nepal and the Nepali people for their support during his stay in Nepal.

On the occasion, the prime minister presented the ambassador with a statue as a gift.

Ambassador Srivastava is scheduled to return to India within the next few days.
