Speaker Aryal leaves for Tanzania for 153rd IPU Assembly

A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal left for Tanzania on Sunday to attend the 153rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Speaker Aryal departed from Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday evening on a Qatar Airways flight, travelling via Doha to Kilimanjaro. He is scheduled to land at Kilimanjaro International Airport on Monday morning.
The assembly will be held in Arusha, Tanzania, from Asoj 19 to 23. Parliamentary representatives from around the world will take part. Permanent committees on various thematic issues will also meet during the assembly.
The delegation includes House of Representatives member Ravin Mahatto and National Assembly members Jhakku Prasad Subedi and Anjan Shakya. The Speaker's wife, Ambika KC, House of Representatives Secretary General Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary Prakash Adhikari and Deputy Secretary Rekha Upadhyay Khanal are also part of the team. The Speaker's private secretary, Madhu Mijar, is also with the delegation.
