Gold price drops about Rs 500 per tola, silver down around Rs 30

Gold prices fell in the Nepali market for the second consecutive day on Friday, while silver also became cheaper.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations, hallmark gold has become cheaper by about Rs 500 per tola compared to the previous day.

The federation has fixed today's trading price of hallmark gold at about Rs 298,600 per tola. On Thursday, the same gold was traded at about Rs 299,100 per tola. Gold prices had also dropped by about Rs 3,200 per tola on Thursday. This means gold has become cheaper by about Rs 3,700 per tola over the two days.

In terms of 10 grams, today's gold price stands at about Rs 256,000. Silver also became cheaper by about Rs 30 per tola today, trading at around Rs 4,620. The previous day, silver was priced at about Rs 4,650 per tola. The price of 10 grams of silver has been fixed at about Rs 3,961 today.

According to the federation, market trading has been low in recent days as gold prices continue to fluctuate. In the international market today, gold is trading at about $4,258 per ounce and silver at about $63 per ounce.
