Koshi government forms committee to probe Saptakoshi boat accident, report in seven days

The Koshi provincial government has formed a committee to investigate the passenger boat accident on the Saptakoshi river. The committee has been set up to determine the cause and facts of the accident.

Provincial government spokesperson Gombu Sherpa said the provincial council of ministers, meeting on Tuesday, decided to form the probe committee under the chairmanship of provincial secretary Ashman Tamang. The committee has been given a seven-day deadline to submit its report.

The committee will study and investigate the facts of the accident and submit a report to the provincial government.

The same meeting also decided to present the fiscal year 2082/83 annual report of the province's Office of the Chief Attorney to the Provincial Assembly.
