Election Commission records letter on Deuba faction's general convention

The Election Commission has recorded in its files a letter sent by the Sher Bahadur Deuba faction of Nepali Congress stating that it is going ahead with the general convention. The commission has also recorded the schedule the Deuba faction submitted to it for the party's 15th general convention.

Chief Election Commissioner Mannabahadur Karki issued the directive to record the letter. On behalf of the Deuba faction, Sher Bahadur Deuba had written to the commission about the program running from the ward conventions beginning Thursday up to the central general convention.

As the process for the 15th central general convention led by Deuba moves forward, ward conventions have been completed in 3,191 wards across the country, according to Ratopati.

The commission recorded the Deuba faction's letter at a time when the process for Nepali Congress's 15th general convention is underway.
