Transmission line wire replacement to affect power supply in Valley on Saturday, Sunday

Power supply in Kathmandu Valley will be affected for two days, Saturday and Sunday. Due to capacity enhancement and reinforcement work on the Matatirtha–Syuchatar 132 kV transmission line, power supply will be hit on Asoj 24 and 25.
The line will be shut down so that the old wires and conductors on the transmission line can be removed and new high-capacity wires installed. The Nepal Electricity Authority said this work has been started to make the Valley's power supply more reliable, better quality and sustainable.
The Authority said power supply could be disrupted in areas including Matatirtha and Syuchatar during the work.
