Flood enters intake, Relekhola hydropower project in Myagdi shut down

The Relekhola Hydropower Project in Narchyang, Annapurna Rural Municipality-4, Myagdi, has been shut down after floodwater entered the project's intake (dam), halting power generation.
Hume Consult Pvt. Ltd. is the developer of the project, which has a capacity of six megawatts.
After a landslide occurred in the Relekharka area, the water level in the Relekhola river rose and the flood reached the project's dam, causing damage to the structure.
Power generation from the project has come to a complete halt after the flood entered the dam. Annapurna Rural Municipality in Myagdi has recently been among the areas affected by floods and landslides.
