Matatirtha–Chobhar 132 kV transmission line completed, to be energised from Friday

Construction of the Matatirtha–Chobhar section of the Thankot–Chapagaun–Bhaktapur 132 kV transmission line project has been completed.
The roughly 6-kilometre transmission line will be energised from Friday. The line is considered important for making the power supply system of the Kathmandu Valley stronger, more reliable and of better quality.
Once the line is in operation, it is expected to connect with the national transmission system and make power supply management in the valley easier.
The Thankot–Chapagaun–Bhaktapur 132 kV transmission line project is under construction to supply electricity to the Kathmandu Valley. The Matatirtha–Chobhar section of the project has now reached the stage of being ready for operation.
