The Monday meeting of the Council of Ministers approved a grant from the Norwegian government, which will be spent on a program to promote clean energy transition in municipalities.

Government spokesperson and Education and Sports Minister Sasmit Pokhrel said the assistance is equivalent to about Rs 100 million. Pokhrel told reporters after the meeting, held at Singha Durbar, that the meeting made five decisions in total.

The meeting approved the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Rules, 2083. It also approved the Second Amendment to the Rules on Formation, Group and Class Division and Appointment of the Nepal Engineering Service, 2083.

Secretary Gopal Prasad Sigdel of that ministry retired on Asoj 13, and from Asoj 14 the ministry had no regular secretary.
