Rain and snow likely in Nepal's mountainous and hilly regions today

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, a western low-pressure system along with monsoon winds is currently affecting the country.

The division says the mountainous region is generally cloudy, while the rest of the country is partly cloudy.

The division has said rain and snowfall are likely in the country's mountainous and hilly regions this afternoon. It has also said the weather across the country will improve starting today.

The possibility of rain and snow in the mountainous and hilly regions comes at a time when many people are travelling as Bada Dashain begins.
