Geologists begin field study in landslide-hit areas of Myagdi

A team of geologists began a field study of landslide-affected areas in Myagdi today. The study is being carried out after last week's floods and landslides. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority is coordinating the study.
According to Beni Municipality Chief Surat KC, the team visited landslide-affected areas above Khareni Khola, Khoriya Pakho and Campus Chowk to conduct technical studies. These areas are considered a challenge for the safety of Beni Bazaar.
After completing the field study, the team will analyze the samples it collected. It will then submit a technical report to the government.
Last week's floods and landslides caused damage in various parts of Myagdi. The study is being conducted to identify risks in the affected areas.
