25-year-old Salyan man drowns while swimming in Begnas Lake

A young man drowned while bathing and swimming in Begnas Lake, located in Ward 31 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, on Saturday evening.

The deceased is 25-year-old Naresh Bik, who is originally from Salyan and currently lives in Khasibazar, Ward 14 of Pokhara Metropolitan City. He drowned while bathing and swimming in the lake.

Divers recovered his body, which had been missing in the lake, from a depth of about 25 feet.

The same evening, in Phewa Lake in Pokhara, seven people who were stranded due to a sudden windstorm and rising water were safely rescued by the Armed Police Force.
