Direct transport in Baglung halted for 12 days after flood washes away Maldhunga bridge approach road

Direct transport has been halted for 12 days after floods washed away the approach road of the Maldhunga bridge, the main entry point into Baglung.
The damage to the bridge's approach road has affected tourism and trade in the district. In recent years, Baglung's various destinations used to be crowded with tourists during the festival season.
The arrival of tourists during festivals had been boosting economic activity and expanding employment in the district. Similar expectations were held for this year as well, but transport has been disrupted due to the damage at the main entry point's bridge, affecting tourism and trade.
With Dashain approaching, direct transport operation on the main entry route remains unable to resume.
