'Good thing the open stage was made nice': PM mocks, Congress leader Sachin Timalsina responds

Prime Minister Balen Shah has responded satirically on social media after comments were made about him at the opening ceremony of Nepali Congress's 15th convention.

At the opening session, Congress President Gagan Thapa had raised questions about the prime minister. Later on Sunday evening, Prime Minister Shah wrote on Facebook: 'Good thing the open stage was made nice, the new party got to hold a programme and get to hurl abuse.'

Following the prime minister's remark, Congress youth leader Sachin Timalsina responded. He said, 'Good thing Congress established democracy, so they can make comments.' According to Nagarik, he called the prime minister's remark 'low-level.'

The 15th convention of Congress was inaugurated on Sunday at Khulamanch in Kathmandu.
