Bagmati government to cut non-priority project budgets to rebuild flood-hit areas

The Bagmati Province government has decided to cut budgets in order to rebuild flood-affected areas.
The decision was made at the provincial Council of Ministers meeting held on Thursday, taking into account the reconstruction of damage caused by the disaster.
The provincial government is preparing to cut the budgets of non-priority projects while prioritizing the rehabilitation and reconstruction of disaster-affected areas. The funds freed up through this cut will be used for reconstruction in flood-affected areas.
Recent floods and disasters have caused damage in various parts of the province.
