16 families relocated to safety after ground cracks in Bakaiya, Makwanpur

About 15-16 families have been moved to safe locations after the risk of landslide increased in Gargare settlement, located in Tallo Jyamire of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-6, Makwanpur.

The ground in the settlement suddenly subsided and developed cracks. According to police, more than a dozen families were relocated to safety after the ground cracked in the settlement, which sits on a steep slope.

The entire settlement had to be relocated after the ground subsided. The risk of landslides has increased in various places following days of continuous rainfall across the country.
