Landslide sweeps house into stream in Lalitpur's Dhapakhel

A landslide has destroyed a house in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-24, Dhapakhel. According to the metropolitan city, the entire house collapsed after being hit by the landslide.

According to District Police Office, Lalitpur spokesperson SP Gautam Mishra, continuous rainfall triggered the landslide that caused the house to collapse and be swept into the stream. Spokesperson Mishra said on Monday morning that Sovit Kumar Thapa's two-and-a-half-storey house had collapsed.

However, differing details have emerged regarding the number of storeys and the owner of the house. One media outlet reported that Manju Kumari Rai's three-and-a-half-storey house in Pragati Tole, Ward 24 of the metropolitan city, was completely destroyed by the landslide.

Details received so far do not indicate any human casualties in the incident. Landslides have been occurring in various places across the country following days of continuous rainfall.
