Former chief justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra arrested from Maharajgunj residence

Former Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra has been arrested. He was arrested last night from his own residence in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

A source has confirmed that a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested Jabra. Senior police sources have also confirmed that he was arrested from his residence. According to Rajdhani Daily, he was arrested around 3 am on Sunday.

It has not immediately been disclosed on what charge he was arrested. Police have not yet officially released information about the reason for the arrest.

Jabra has previously served as the head of Nepal's judiciary. Further details regarding his arrest are yet to come.
