Kaligandaki floods sweep away Pokharebagar bridge, cutting Myagdi's road link with Mustang

Floods in the Kaligandaki river have swept away the bridge connecting Pokharebagar in Annapurna Rural Municipality-6 and Naulibagar in Bhurung-Tatopani, Ward No. 2, of Myagdi, under the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road.

According to Bharat Kumar Pun, chairperson of Annapurna Rural Municipality, the loss of the bridge has cut off transportation links with wards 2, 3, and 4 of the rural municipality as well as with Mustang.

This road had been in use as an alternative route following floods in the Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa. With the bridge swept away, the road link with the Korala border point has also been cut off.
