Prachanda says talks under way with Congress, UML on movement against government

Nepal Communist Party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has remarked that the government's style of working is as strange as a Hindi spy thriller, targeting the activities of the Balen-led government. Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said uncertainty has grown over which journalist might be arrested or who might be attacked at any given moment.
According to Prachanda, even the bureaucracy and the political leadership feel insecure under the current situation. He said that if those who brought republicanism, federalism and inclusion had been given an environment to work in, much more could have been achieved by now. He also said the narrative that nothing happened over the past decades is thoughtless, and alleged that anarchic and authoritarian tendencies have taken hold in the state.
Prachanda said he was removed from power while running a campaign against corruption and for good governance. Speaking to reporters after the launch of a book titled 'Karnali Upeksha ra Ujyalo,' he said discussions are under way with Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and other parties on launching a movement against the government. He said efforts are being made to bring together all forces that were part of the constitution and peace process.
He informed that the party is currently focused on its awakening campaign, after the review of which future plans will be made.
