The government of Karnali Province Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi has made public its achievements on completing 100 days in office. Shahi was appointed chief minister on Saun 12, 2083, and took the oath of office the following day.

The list of achievements also includes projects started by the previous government, routine administrative work, and budget programs brought in by then finance and planning minister Rajiv Bikram Shah. Shah had presented a budget of around Rs 35.40 billion on Asar 1, nearly a month and a half before Shahi became chief minister. According to government figures, only about 20 percent of the total budget had been spent by the end of Asoj.

The government says it has approved five bills for presentation to the Provincial Assembly and passed various regulations and procedures. Two road bridges and 17 suspension bridges have been completed, according to the report. Staff management, disaster management and preparations for the 10th National Games are also listed among the achievements.

However, the pace of development budget spending remains slow, and major, multi-year projects have not progressed as expected. There is also no notable achievement in accelerating stalled projects or making administrative reforms effective.
