Court orders arrest of ANFA president Nembang and general secretary Rai; treasurer, accounts officer released on bail

The Lalitpur District Court has ordered the issuance of arrest warrants for All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) president Pankaj Bikram Nembang and general secretary Kiran Rai.
The Office of the District Government Attorney, Lalitpur, has filed a case against four people, including suspended ANFA president Nembang, on charges of financial irregularities, fraud and match-fixing. Among the defendants, the treasurer and accounts officer were in custody, while president Nembang and general secretary Rai are at large.
Meanwhile, the court has ordered ANFA treasurer Ravindra Joshi and accounts officer Sanjeev Pandey to be released on bail. The bench of Judge Bhagwati Sharma Dhungana on Friday ordered Joshi and Pandey released on bail in the match-fixing and fraud-related case.
