Magnitude 4.1 earthquake hits Bajura as tremors continue in western Nepal

An earthquake struck Bajura district in Sudurpashchim Province on Wednesday night.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the magnitude 4.1 earthquake, centered around Barhabise in Bajura, occurred at 9:37 pm.
Tremors have been recorded continuously in recent times in and around Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces.
A day before the Bajura earthquake, at 10:38 pm on Asoj 20, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Uttarakhand, India, centered about 100 kilometers west of Nepal's Darchula. Although centered in India, its tremor was felt in Nepal's Sudurpashchim region.
