Muglin–Kathmandu road blocked by landslide, new alternating schedule enforced on Tribhuvan Highway

After the Muglin–Kathmandu road section was completely blocked by a landslide, the Makwanpur District Administration Office has set a new schedule to manage vehicle movement on the Tribhuvan Highway.
The administration took precautionary measures anticipating increased traffic on the Tribhuvan Highway after the Prithvi Highway was blocked. Under the new arrangement, vehicles on the highway will run on an alternating (odd-even) system.
Santosh Subedi, administrative officer at the Makwanpur District Administration Office, said the alternating system was introduced on the Tribhuvan Highway in view of the traffic that could shift to the alternative route following the blockage of the Muglin–Kathmandu road.
The administration said a new time card has been implemented to manage traffic flow. The Kathmandu–Muglin road section is blocked at Galaundi in Dhading.
