Chitwan businesspeople meet RSP chair Lamichhane, seeking protection of Narayangarh market

Business people from Chitwan have met Ravi Lamichhane, chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), to seek necessary initiatives for controlling the Narayani river and protecting the Narayangarh market.
Business people have urged action, saying the Narayangarh market is at risk due to erosion and flooding from the Narayani river.
During the meeting, the business team asked for long-term management of the Narayani river and immediate initiatives, including embankment construction, said Chiranjivi Subedi, president of the association.
The market and riverside settlements have been affected by the recent floods and erosion, and local business people have been raising demands for protection with the concerned stakeholders.
