Saptakoshi flood submerges around 500 houses in Saptari, over 2,000 families affected

Floods caused by continuous rainfall in Saptari have submerged around 500 houses. The floodwater entered Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality and Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality in the district.

The houses were submerged after floodwater from the Saptakoshi River entered the settlements at night. More than 2,000 families have been affected by the flooding.

Continuous rainfall has affected daily life in various parts of the country. Citizens are suffering due to flooding in the Tarai districts and landslides in hilly areas.
