Fire at canteen of body garage in Birtamod kills 65-year-old man

A fire at the canteen of a body garage in Birtamod Municipality-2, Ramchowk, Jhapa, killed one person. The fire, caused by an electrical short circuit, broke out around 4:10 am on Thursday.

The deceased is 65-year-old Rudra Bahadur Tamang, a resident of Gaurigunj Rural Municipality-2, who worked at the same canteen.

According to the Anarmani Area Police Office, goods worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the fire. Goats and cash also burned and were destroyed in the blaze.
