Nepal's government websites temporarily down after major security flaw found in PHP

Nepal's government websites have gone offline temporarily after security weaknesses were detected. Government websites in Nepal and several other countries were shut down after AI tools discovered major vulnerabilities in PHP, a technology widely used to build websites.
Cybersecurity agencies had urged relevant institutions to immediately apply the PHP security update. They had also advised temporarily taking websites offline if the update could not be applied right away.
Accordingly, Nepal's government websites have been down since Thursday morning.
No further information has been made public on when the websites will resume operation.
