Flood- and landslide-hit Myagdi recommended for declaration as disaster-crisis district

It has been recommended that Myagdi district, affected by floods and landslides, be declared a disaster-crisis district.

A meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee held on Tuesday made the recommendation to declare the district a disaster crisis. The district was affected by floods and landslides that followed continuous rainfall from Asoj 8 to 11.

Following the floods and landslides, a drinking water problem has emerged in the district headquarters, Beni.

The District Disaster Management Committee made the recommendation taking into account the situation in the affected areas. The relevant authority will now decide on this recommendation.
