Prachanda at Congress convention: Next to break the sequence are Gagan Thapa and Rabi Lamichhane

NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has urged Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane to continue the 'krambhanga' (breaking of the sequence). Addressing the opening ceremony of Congress's 15th general convention, which began in Kathmandu on Sunday, he said his own day of breaking the sequence was over and that now it was the turn of Thapa and Lamichhane.
Congratulating Thapa, Prachanda said he had already seen his leadership abilities. Recalling that he had once said Thapa might someday lead the country, he said he now saw that the time had come for Thapa to lead the country. He urged Thapa, who he said had broken the continuity within Congress, to take the path of leading the country.
Prachanda also said that both Rabi Lamichhane and Gagan Thapa had been ministers in his cabinet when he was prime minister.
He also urged Nepali Congress to move forward by strengthening its internal unity.
