Corruption case filed against Kalanki Survey Office surveyor Shrestha over Rs 47.4 million

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Subindra Shrestha, a surveyor at the Survey Office in Kalanki, Kathmandu.

The Commission filed the charge sheet at the Special Court, Kathmandu, accusing Shrestha of illegally acquiring property.

The charge sheet seeks recovery of Rs 47.4 million (4 crore 74 lakh) in claimed losses from Shrestha.

The Commission has previously filed several similar cases at the Special Court against government employees accused of illegally acquiring property. The case against surveyor Shrestha will now be heard at the Special Court.
