Prachanda hands over 21 temporary shelters built by YCL for flood and landslide victims in Nuwakot

Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has handed over 21 temporary shelters built for families affected by floods and landslides in Nuwakot.
YCL Nepal constructed the temporary shelters for affected families in Belkotgadhi and Bidur municipalities of Nuwakot who lost their homes in the Rasuwa-Bhotekoshi flood.
At the handover event, coordinator Prachanda said that countries like Nepal have had to pay a heavy price due to the flawed development model adopted by developed and capitalist nations and due to climate injustice. He remarked that big countries have committed injustice in the name of climate change, and Nepal has had to bear the cost of the resulting disasters.
The flood that struck Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa this year in Bhadau caused extensive loss of life and property in the Rasuwa and Trishuli corridor.
