Former king Gyanendra's Dashain greetings: urges turning grief into strength

Former king Gyanendra Shah has extended greetings to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami 2083. In his message, referring to recent natural disasters, he urged people to move forward by turning grief into strength and despair into hope.
In the message, the former king expressed concern that the country's political, constitutional, judicial, economic, social and administrative spheres are in disorder and confusion.
He also urged caution when seeking external assistance for rebuilding structures damaged by disasters and for rehabilitating affected citizens.
This year, incessant rain in Asoj and flooding in the Bhotekoshi in Bhadau caused major loss of life and property. The former king issued his greetings message amid Dashain celebrations held against this backdrop.
