777 industries and business firms shut down in Rupandehi in one year

The number of small and cottage industries and business firms closing down in Rupandehi district has been rising.

According to data from the Cottage and Small Industries Office, Bhairahawa, 777 industries and business firms shut down in the district in fiscal year 2082/83. These include both small and cottage industries as well as business firms.

Officials say the number of industries and businesses closing has increased after failing to get returns matching their investment. Firms that had started operations after investment are also increasingly coming to the office to close their accounts and cancel their registration.
