18 suspension bridges damaged in Bhotekoshi–Trishuli flood back in operation after repairs

Eighteen suspension bridges damaged by the flood in the Bhotekoshi–Trishuli river have been repaired and put back into operation.

The Department of Local Infrastructure Development under the Ministry of Infrastructure Development carried out the repairs. The work cost around 55 million rupees.

The flood that struck the Bhotekoshi river on Bhadau 10 damaged many structures along the Trishuli corridor. The damage to the suspension bridges had disrupted local residents' movement across the river.

Following the repairs, movement across all 18 bridges has resumed.
