Department of Drug Administration joins national single-window system

The Department of Drug Administration has been linked to the national single-window system operated by the Department of Customs.

At a program held in Kathmandu today, Director General of the Department of Customs Yamalal Bhusal and Director General of the Department of Drug Administration Bharat Bhattarai launched the linkage.

All paperwork of the Department of Drug Administration connected with customs will now be done online through this system. According to Director General Bhattarai, the arrangement has been made so that customs clearance-related services can be provided online.

Previously, all drug-related work was done on paper. He said this will now make the work faster for service seekers. He added that the system will be useful for the department amid a shortage of staff.

He said both the ayurvedic and pharmaceutical sectors have been covered under this system.
