Nepal is under pressure to win at least one of its two remaining matches in the final series of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, after Canada defeated Oman.

Nepal needs to finish within the league's top six to retain its One Day International status.

In Thursday's match, Canada set Oman a target of 257 runs. In reply, Oman were all out for 198 in 46.3 overs.

With that win, Canada now have 27 points from 35 matches, while Nepal have 28 points from 34 matches. Nepal will play Canada on Saturday and Oman on Monday. Saturday's match is Canada's last game in the league.

If Nepal beat Canada, they will finish the league within the top six. If Nepal lose to Canada, they will need to win their final match against Oman. If Nepal lose both matches, they will drop to seventh place, and Canada will enter the top six. Oman currently sit fourth in the table with 33 points.
