Advance Dashain bus ticket booking opens today, passengers queue overnight at New Bus Park

Advance bus ticket booking opened today, Friday, for passengers travelling home for Dashain. The government had decided to open advance bus tickets from Friday for people heading home for the festival.

Even before the advance tickets opened, queues of passengers had already formed at Kathmandu's New Bus Park. Passengers from some districts had been sitting in line in front of the ticket counters since Thursday night.

Fifteen additional counters have been set up in the New Bus Park area for advance ticket booking. As Dashain approaches, the number of passengers returning home has been rising.

Passengers who sat in line overnight to secure tickets were seen waiting in the morning for the counters to open. With the start of advance ticket sales, the movement of passengers from the capital to various districts is expected to increase.
