Kaski arrests 32 fugitive convicts in Asoj alone, recovers over 1.6 million rupees

Police in Kaski arrested 32 defendants in the month of Asoj who had been convicted by courts in various cases but were on the run without serving their sentences.

According to the District Police Office, Kaski, those arrested had cases already decided against them but had evaded serving their sentences. Police also recovered more than 1.6 million rupees in damages during this period.

The arrest of so many fugitive defendants in a single month came amid heightened police activity. Police have continued the search for and arrest of fugitive defendants to enforce sentences as per court verdicts.

The process of making the arrested defendants serve their sentences as per the court verdicts is set to move forward.
