Living goddess Kumari shown Taleju Bhawani at Hanuman Dhoka

The living goddess Kumari has been shown Taleju Bhawani at Hanuman Dhoka in Kathmandu.

Following the tradition of showing the Kumari the Taleju Bhawani, the ritual was carried out on Tuesday night through tantric and Vedic methods. This tradition, linked to Bada Dashain, is observed in the same manner every year.

Vijaya Dashami, the main day of Bada Dashain, is being celebrated across the country today, Wednesday. As prasad of goddess Navadurga, who has been worshipped throughout Navaratri, people are receiving tika, jamara and blessings from their elders.

The Nepal Panchang Nirnayak Vikas Samiti has fixed this year's auspicious time for applying tika at 10:26 am. According to the committee, the auspicious time for the goddess's immersion falls at 8:49 am.
