On Vijaya Dashami, PM Shah calls for unity against corruption and misgovernance

Prime Minister Balendra Shah has extended greetings of happiness, peace, prosperity and continued progress to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami.

In his message, he stressed that all citizens must unite to eliminate corruption, misgovernance, delays, inequality and political distortions, which he described as evil tendencies prevailing in the country. Noting that Vijaya Dashami is celebrated in remembrance of the victory of truth over falsehood, he said that bringing about change requires changing not just thinking but also behavior.

PM Shah also said that everyone must unite to make citizens feel that "the government is for us." He urged everyone to celebrate Vijaya Dashami from their respective positions, according to their own capacity.

The President, Vice President and others have also extended greetings on the occasion of Bada Dasain.
