Congress chief Gagan Thapa urges people to stand by disaster-hit families this Dashain

Nepali Congress president Gagan Thapa has urged everyone to celebrate Vijaya Dashami while supporting families suffering hardship due to the national disaster. He made the appeal in a greeting message posted on social media on Wednesday on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami.

He noted that this year's Vijaya Dashami comes amid the sensitive situation of national disaster and suffering. He called on people not to confine festival joy to their own homes but to share it with those in distress as well.

Chairman Thapa requested everyone to stand by disaster-affected families in their grief and to offer at least some comfort for their suffering. He also urged everyone to be a support for one another while celebrating Dashain.
