Crowds throng Bhaktapur's Brahmayani Jatra from the night before

Devotees have been thronging Bhaktapur's Brahmayani temple since the previous night for the Brahmayani Jatra.

The festival is held every year on Vijaya Dashami. The Brahmayani temple is regarded as a Shaktipeeth of the Navadurga.

On Vijaya Dashami, the main day of Bada Dasain, people across the country are receiving tika, jamara and blessings from their elders today as prasad of the Navadurga. On this occasion, crowds continued to arrive at Bhaktapur's Brahmayani temple to pay homage, remaining steady even into the morning.
