Israel election: Netanyahu alleges fraud as no one wins majority, opposition hits back

The final results of Israel's parliamentary election have confirmed that neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition nor the Jewish opposition has secured a majority in parliament. Netanyahu's right-wing coalition emerged as the largest bloc but has failed to muster the majority needed to form a government.
According to the election results, Arab parties appear decisive for forming a government. After losing his majority, Netanyahu has alleged that there was fraud and foreign interference in the election.
However, chief opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot and Arab-led political parties have criticized Netanyahu, saying he is trying to discredit the election results and brand the vote as 'illegitimate.'
Meanwhile, opposition leader Eisenkot has become active in efforts to form a government. He has stepped up engagement with opposition leaders including Democrats party chief Yair Golan and Yamina chief Naftali Bennett.
