Dedicated benches to be formed in district courts to speed up cooperative cases

Dedicated benches are to be formed in district courts to deliver speedier justice to cooperative victims and to bring cooperative-related offence cases to a quicker conclusion.

Under the decision, dedicated benches will be formed in district courts that have more than 100 cooperative-related cases. The aim is to concentrate the hearing of such cases in one place so that verdicts can be reached faster.

In courts with fewer than 100 cooperative cases, a separate group has also been decided upon to give priority to the hearing of these cases.

Cases filed by victims who have not received their savings back from the cooperative sector are pending in various district courts. The new arrangement is expected to speed up the hearing of such cases.
