10th National Games to begin Mangsir 16, Surkhet stadium ready

The 10th National Games, whose schedule had repeatedly been thrown into uncertainty by postponements, will now be held from Mangsir 16 to 27. The stadium in Surkhet, where the competition will take place, is ready.

Preparations for the event have been made by the federal government and the National Sports Council. The Surkhet stadium where the games will be held can seat 10,000 spectators.

The competition's dates had been postponed several times before. Member-secretary Mehta said the dates will not be changed again. He said that just as the dates for Dashain and Tihar do not change, the dates for the 10th National Games will not change either.

The Nepal Premier League (NPL) is set to begin as soon as Dashain ends. The National Games will follow in Mangsir.
