Former President Bhandari urges world to take Nepal's climate justice demand seriously

Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has urged the global community to take Nepal's demand for climate justice seriously. She emphasized that climate justice must be given priority.

Bhandari made the appeal while addressing the 2026 Global Governance Forum (Xiong'an) organized by the China Institute of International Studies in China.

In her address, she said that the recent unimaginable natural disasters in Nepal had once again highlighted the impact of climate change on the country. She said this was why Nepal's demand for climate justice must be taken seriously.

Former President Bhandari presented her views at the conference on the climate justice that Nepal ought to receive.
