Rapti Provincial Hospital has no ICU, CT scanner down for two years

Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur, Dang, does not have an intensive care unit (ICU). In the absence of an ICU, patients arriving at the hospital in serious condition have to be referred outside the district.
This situation of having to refer patients elsewhere has persisted at the hospital for a long time. Patients in critical condition are compelled to travel to hospitals outside the district for treatment.
Along with the lack of an ICU, the hospital's CT scan machine has also been out of order for two years. The CT scanner has not been repaired even after two years, leaving the hospital without CT scan services for that entire period.
Rapti Provincial Hospital is a provincial-level hospital located in Tulsipur. With both ICU and CT scan services unavailable, patients coming here for treatment have had to go outside the district.
